01 — Frame the decision
Define the choice to be made, its timing and the acceptance criteria. Agree what is inside the review and which neighboring disciplines own the interfaces.
02 — Establish the evidence
Review the available requirements, design information and test data. Record assumptions and decide which missing inputs can be bounded and which must be obtained.
03 — Investigate what matters
Select analysis and comparisons that address the decision. Use sensitivity checks to distinguish robust findings from results that depend strongly on uncertain inputs.
04 — Review and plan validation
Present the reasoning, the remaining uncertainty and the recommended next action. Define what measurement or further analysis would confirm or challenge the conclusion.
05 — Make the work usable
An agreed handover can include the decision record, assumptions, findings and validation priorities. File formats, model transfer and follow-up support belong in the engagement scope.
